Initially the bus was empty, a lot of empty seats, and I was already enjoying my sleep until morning. Instead, to my disappointment, after a couple of stops the bus was completely full.
A long night awaits me… but the problem will be in the morning.
In fact the arrival in Mancora is scheduled for 4.30 😑
I really hope the hostel is open at that time, otherwise I will have to wait for it to become daylight on the beach or by the roadside… of course the hostel phone number is not answered by anyone.
After a few hours of travelling almost all the passengers are asleep, but one of them sleeps differently… peculiar I would say….
It is a gentleman to my right, in his 50s, who makes horse neighing noises and kicks every 5-10 minutes… all while he is sleeping! 😆
The arrival in Mancora leaves me perplexed, I was expecting a bus station where I could wait for the morning, instead I am dumped at the side of the road and as always I am assaulted by Tuktuk drivers.
It’s night, the luggage looks heavy and the hostel is half an hour’s walk away… but yes, I take the tuktuk….
Fortunately on my arrival a gentleman opens the door and allows me to sit on a sofa in the open under two palm trees and wait for daylight… I am assailed by mosquitoes, but better than spending the night on the street, the area is not very reassuring in the darkness of the night….
