The week in Quito was a quiet one, every now and then you have to rest while travelling (sounds absurd, I know 😂).
Burak turned out to be a very funny and easygoing travelling companion. Together we toured the city better, walked through dodgy areas, took public transport with impromptu musicians, made friends with a Cuban pianist and sang the songs he played at a restaurant, went on karts (it felt like an ice rink so slippery) and met lots of people.
We didn’t have any big adventures like on the other stages of the trip, but we had a pleasant and fun week together.
And at the end of the week he told me one of the best things he had heard on this trip. He was going to have a flight to the Galapagos Islands on Saturday, but instead he moved the flight to Monday. On Sunday evening, when saying goodbye (I had to leave the hostel at 4.30am) he confessed to me that the only reason he had moved the flight was because he had a great time with me and wanted to use another two days until my departure. I had a great time too, have a good trip hermano and remember, “mamasita” is not pronounced 😂😂!!!!
