Day three in Mancora… The Pacific Ocean is warm, the beaches sandy and immense, the pelicans huge, the elephant seals, the horses on the beach all beautiful, but something is missing…
And that thing was coming today! But I didn’t know it yet….
Waking up as usual at 8am, time when the disco starts at the hostel 😆
Getting ready for another day of beach and boredom, while my hostel mates lived like mebes clinging to their deckchairs….
Instead as I was going back to my room to get my backpack and go to the beach here comes a new roommate, a German girl of Russian descent.
We start talking, I tell her my doubts about Mancora, she tells me about her trip and I about mine…. She seems nice… she tells me that she is here with a friend and that we could go for a ride together. I go to change and come back, but they are gone… first misunderstanding 😅
But never mind, finally someone who doesn’t spend the day sleeping!!!
In the afternoon I meet them again in the garden of the hostel, but this time we go to the beach together! The other person is a man of Peruvian origin but living in New York. A funny, friendly man who likes to talk and laugh, with a super positive personality, like the girl after all. We hit it off immediately, as they say here ‘Buena onda’. In a flash I convince the Peruvian girl, our roommate, to come with us too, in the end she is not bad either, she just needed a push! And so the company of Mancora begins to take shape, to which will be added in the following days the girls we met the night before, the girl we met in Cusco, a Peruvian guy and a German girl. Together we get to know a lot of locals, on the street, in clubs, on the beach, everywhere we go we meet someone we know.
From this moment on they will be some of the most beautiful and unforgettable days of the trip, the same place that before was boring turns into a playground, one of the most fun places!
