What happens when you are in the room with other people, half asleep, at 10:30 at night and the earth starts shaking?
That one of them gets up and says ” it’s normal, it’s the movements of the building”. It’s not normal!!! It’s a damn earthquake, quite strong to boot, 5.4 magnitude!
Then again, in a highly seismic country, an earthquake could not fail to occur….
And it happens on the day you stay in a dive bar, in Paracas, a wonderful seaside resort, on the top floor of a half-finished building, without handrails on the stairs and with parts in the construction site…
Fortunately, it was a very brief, yet intense tremor… that did not cause tsunamis.
Which had already happened years ago in this locality, as a local guide told me in an unreassuring tone….
