The part of la Candelaria in Bogota is beautiful, with colourful murals and very characteristic houses. After being assailed by the vendors in the central square, we decide to join a guided tour. It is the best decision, allowing us to see the most fascinating part of the city, taste some fruits we have never tasted and have a traditional lunch. The central streets are incredible, full of music, colour and liveliness. What seemed like a bad and dangerous neighbourhood the night before suddenly transforms during the day, becomes cosy and pleasant. Needless to describe the fruit I tried, as always I can’t remember the names 😂.
As for the food, I quickly realise that what the travellers I have met so far have said is all true. Lots of rice, patacones, potatoes and more rice. 😅😅
The coffee though is good, it tastes great in Colombia, definitely the best I have tried in South America.
